Lynne Jenkins
Director
Lynne Jenkins developed a keen interest in the work of the Australian Opal Centre while participating in the AOC’s 2019 Lightning Ridge Fossil Dig.
Lynne’s professional life was shaped by a long career as a medical radiographer, with extensive experience in human resources, work health safety, workplace committees and other key areas of workplace management. After retiring from radiography, Lynne began photographing opalised fossils in the AOC collection as a key AOC volunteer, dedicating several months of each year to this painstaking work.
In 2022, Lynne was elected Secretary of Lightning Ridge Opal & Fossil Centre Incorporated and in 2023, transitioned to the Board of Australian Opal Centre Ltd. Lynne is a member of several board committees.
In addition to serving on the AOCL Board and its committees, Lynne has also become an AOC Fossil Dig team leader, AOC Life Member and AOC Founder.
