Thousands of supporters have found a special place at the Australian Opal Centre, making contributions to the development, operation and success of this important not-for-profit community project. We are inspired and enabled by our supporters' spirit of generosity and their passion for the AOC vision. Without them, the AOC’s work would not continue.

Here are some ways you can become a supporter and contribute to the Australian Opal Centre. All donations of $2 or more are tax deductible in Australia.

1. Become an AOC Founder
AOC Founders are visionary benefactors, each committing between $10,000 and $1 million directly towards the construction and fitout of the new Australian Opal Centre.

Many AOC Founders are ordinary people or businesses who have chosen to make the AOC part of their lasting legacy. Opportunities are available for major Corporate or Philanthropic Benefactors to join these visionaries through our Partnership Program. Secure your place in history and be recognised in perpetuity inside our magnificent new building.

2. Support our 1000 x $1000 campaign
Our exciting 1000 x $1000 campaign campaign supports both fitout of the new AOC and operational readiness. Are you one in a thousand?

3. Give what you can
Every donation is valued and every dollar is put to best use. Make a donation in any amount here and you will receive immediately receive an emailed receipt for your donation, which will be tax deductible for amounts of $2 in Australia.

Our Members are our lifeblood, allowing us to develop and operate the Australian Opal Centre through their generosity and support each and every day. Become an Ordinary Member or even better, become a Life Member for benefits including life-long free entry (and no renewal notice, ever).

ANNOUNCEMENT: Every new or renewed membership between 1 September 2024 and 31 March 2025 will include one free entry ticket to the new Australian Opal Centre or an online tour of the new AOC space!

Donate to the AOC collection

Since the Australian Opal Centre was founded, we have received amazing donations from generous contributors from all over the globe – opals, opalised fossils, funding contributions, opal-related books, artworks and archival materials, cultural and natural treasures, wonders and curiosities that help tell and celebrate the opal story.
